i just browsed through your page and you dont seem to make a lot of friends, let alone that the only thing you do all day is wasting your time with youtube. Nah, the worst thing about Vancouver is that it is all contrived ‘bohemians’. It is not a ‘laid back’ scene but actually very ‘cliquey’ and these sub-cultures each have very narrow rules on your ‘look’ and what to think, wear, how to act.
A lot of attention on superficial looks. Be the certain ’snowboarder look’ or ‘goth look’ or ‘alternative punk’ look,
but,
make sure you do it exactly as required or you are shunned.
Contrived, cliquey, image – that is vancouver for ya.
It seems you really like generalizing, dont you? It shows youre short sighted an most likely conservative, by using words as useless ‘bohemians’. To comfort you, Ill study at Simon Fraser University, in case you thought i was a junkie. For the rest: Party, chicks, weed, boarding, surfing, its cool people and the amazing scenery will let me have an amazing year. If these things are not in your line of interests, I can only conclude youre leading a conservative, sad and not-rock n roll life. FOOL

I don’t think you will be disappointed since you think Amsterdam is a great city.
Personally, I hate Amsterdam and find the people arrogant pricks so you will not be surprised to find out I think the same of Vancouver.
However,
If you like Amsterdam you will (most likely) enjoy Vancouver.
Its hard to say which city has the most junkies and useless ‘bohemians’ but maybe you can tell us which is worse in comparison.

Youre the only pessimistic person about vancouver ive ever met, so i guess i wont alter my plans. But thanks anyway for praising my hometown: the great city of Amsterdam. The centre of the world where everybody would like to live!
hahaha, that’s all not true. you can still alter your plans of coming here. otherwise, I guarantee you’ll recall this reply and what I told you. you’ve no idea what you’re getting yourself into. vancouver is not even close a doormat for places like amsterdam.
Vancouver in the summer = AMAZING
Im gonna study there as an exchange student next year. I heard everythings just awesome. Good surf, boarding, music, nitelife, nature, lovely people etc! I like my life here in Amsterdam, but Vancouver is definitely a prime destination! cant fucking wait to get there!
I just moved to Vancouver, and i think it is less rainy and cold than people usually say. But yeah, the problem is the short and dark days in winter! I can’t wait to see Vancouver in summer!
